Black Tide : Portland Show.......

jimmy6154 Joined: 3/25/2008 Posts: 1 Location: Portland, OR, US	Portland Show....... I hope I'm not stepping out of bound by saying this, but the show in Portland Oregon was F*@k&ng AWESOME!! I have not been to a concert since I was a teenager. I'm now 35 and was coming here with an open mind to have fun and enjoy the music. The show was at the Hawthorn Theater, which is a small venue holding a max of 500 or so people. I was lucky this day as the crowd was maybe 250 at best for the Black Tide show. The smaller crowd gave me a more personal feeling about the show which ROCKED. The guys ruled the stage and gave me a feeling of my youth. The other bands that played there were so out of their league being set against Black tide. I could go on and on about the night boring everyone. I'll conclude with this... GO SEE A BLACK TIDE SHOW!!!! you will not be disappointed. Quote

Portland Show.......

Like I told the band that night , I had 4 days of pre-conditioning since the release of the album , so we kind of knew what we were in for and had to make sure these guys were for real....LIVE ! ...this just in......They ARE! And very humble, respectful and thankful ta boot ! Since my buddy got his copy and we saw the show, I'm responsable for 14 copies sold in Oregon,Calif., & Montana..W/ most likely 17-20 by July 4th. Light from Above sells itself...I just demand people buy it and if they don't like it , I will buy it back!....No complaints or refunds yet...nor will there be. I turned on my friend Leonard Haze of Y&T fame and am sending him a copy, one of the last 2 left on sale at my fave record store. Over at Best Buy here in Salem they sold out a deep Black Tide bin twice. Yesterday all there was left was a single or 3 song mini disc thing. I told my other buddy Ted Nugent about BT and said how much he will enjoy his copy I'm sending to Tedquarters. You guys might cross paths w/ him on the road this summer..He's STILL insane. I am sad to announce that I have to miss BT in Portland on 7/10 due to me being on the road myself . Just to let the band know, we would only stay for them and then go hang w/ afterwards bypassing Machine Head and Mastadon....because I would have been fullfilled and w/ out dissing the latter 2 bands...they just don't do it for me. Reluctantly, I gave this album to my 16 year old daughter w/ a disclaimer for extreme rock content, but to overlook and take w/ a grain of salt the seething testosterone emitted from "Let Me". Somebody bump this to the top or foward/get this in the face of band members and management. I'll catch ya next time in PDX as I told them to never leave PORTLAND off any tour schedule. Keep you guys posted on chain reactive album sales....I know the same kind of reaction is happenin' everywhere...andf it's so F*%&#$! great. Rock on Brethren....Kent P.S.
